FNV Decibelmeter

Meet de herrie op je werk met de FNV Decibelmeter! Met deze gratis app kun je zien aan welk geluidsvolume je wordt blootgesteld op je werk. Je krijgt meteen advies met betrekking tot je werksituatie: is het nog veilig of niet? En wat moet je doen? Dit is belangrijk, want ieder jaar lopen veel mensen gehoorschade op.

Via de microfoon van je telefoon kun je geluidsvolume in decibel (dB) meten. Of de herrie schadelijk is voor je oren, hangt af van het volume en de tijdsduur. Weet jij op welke bescherming je recht hebt? In de Arbowet is bijvoorbeeld vastgelegd dat boven de 80 dB je werkgever verplicht is om gehoorbescherming te geven.

Technische specificaties

De microfoons van toestellen verschillen van kwaliteit. Deze app is zoveel mogelijk getest en geoptimaliseerd. Toestellen van Samsung (Galaxy Ace, Google Nexus, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy S3) meten geen geluid boven de 85 dB. De geluidsmeting van de Android app werkt niet goed genoeg op: Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Measure the noise at work with the FNV Decibel Meter! With this free app you can see what volume you are exposed at work. You get immediate advice regarding your work situation: it is safe or not? And what should you do? This is important because every year many people walk to hearing damage.

You can volume measured in decibels (dB) through the microphone of your phone. Whether the noise is harmful to your ears, depends on the volume and the duration. Do you know what you are entitled to protection? The Working Conditions Act for example stipulated that requires your employer above 80 dB to provide hearing protection.
